ally attract the audience´s attention? The strategy to strike in a lecture, class or other is to offer something distinct. It is possible to use PowerPoint application to be creative and peculiar. This tutorial will teach you the animation of an Airplane´s take out.
This effect is different and can be used as a metaphor for several subjects such as: career´s launch, challenges, high performances.
- Insert a picture of an airplane.
You may look for in a search website and, after, copy and past it on the slide or apply a more professional method through PowerPoint.
Go to Insert Table and press Online Pictures.
A new tab appears, showing the option “Bing Image Search”.
Type “Aeroplane” in the blank space and press ENTER.
A display comes up, showing numerous images. Scroll down and up to select one. The aeroplane must be in flying or in take out position.
After choose, click on the image and press Insert.
The selected picture is inserted on the slide.
Probably, the image will present a background. If it is not the case, you can skip to the next step, however if it is, you will need to remove the background.
Select the image and go to Format Tab.
On the Format Tab, press “Remove Background”.
A new tab appears and the figure is converted to edit mode.
The space within the edition rectangle will have the background removed. Adjust to include only the necessary space.
Click in “Keep Changes”.
Now, the aeroplane has no background.
- Set the size of the aeroplane
If necessary, resize the airplane by increasing or decreasing the size. For this animation, a height between 6.5 and 6.7 inches is advisable.
To resize proportionally, put the mouse´s arrow on one of the locations shown in the figure X until it becomes a white double arrow.
Drag the corner to a direction, according to scheme bellow.
To decrease: To increase:
- Zoom out the screen.
Probably, your vision of the screen is similar to the figure bellow.
There are 2 Paths to zoom out:
- Press CTRL and push up the mouse´s roll. See figure X
- If your mouse does not have a row between the buttons, go to Zoom Options, located on the right down side of the screen. Click on the Minus Sign (-).
- Let´s move the and rotate aeroplane.
Drag the figure to the outside area of the slide, in the right down position.
Now, rotate the aeroplane to simulate a take off position.
To rotate, position the mouse´s arrow above the circular arrow of the figure until it becomes a black circular arrow pointed to up.
Click and move the mouse. This is going to move the image as well. Stop when the airplane is heading up such as figure X.
- Insert a Sky Background.
Repeat the procedure of Step 1:
Insert Tab > Online Pictures
Search for images of sky, preferentially in daylight.
Resize it to fit in the whole slide.
Send the picture to Back.
First, RIGHT CLICK the picture: a drop list will appear.
Click in “Sent to Back” and “Send to Back”, again.
Probably, you will not notice any difference, however this procedure is meant to guarantee that the Sky Background stays behind the Aeroplane.
- Apply animation in the Aeroplane.
Select the Aeroplane´s picture and go to Animation Tab.
Press the More Button.
A display with several effect options comes up.
Click in “More Motion Paths”.
A second display appears. Go to Lines Curves group.
Choose Left animation (the eighth of the first row)
This animation effect is applied on Aeroplane and a configuration called Motion Path appears.
This application offers higher customization of the animation, in a manner that the User can handle the arrows to set the beginning and end of the effect.
Drag the red arrow to the upper left corner of the slide.
Now, let´s apply some configurations on the animation.
Go to Animation Tab > Timing Group.
First, in Start Options, apply “With previous”.
In Duration Options, put 6 seconds.
Still, in Animation Tab, press Animation Pane.
Beside the slide, the Animation Pane will appear.
Press the Down Arrow and, after, Effect Options which is within the Drop List that will come up.
Another display will come up.
In Effect Tab, remove the Smooth Start and Smooth End by dragging the buttons to the left, until the time becomes 0 seconds.
Now, go to Sound Option and press the Down Arrow Button.
A Drop List will be presented with numerous options of sounds to incorporate in the animation.
You may choose one of them or search and download from the internet.
If you decided for download it in internet, after the required procedures, press “Other Sound”.
A new tab appears showing the files of the computer. Go to the Folder where the downloaded sound is located.
Select the file and press OK.
The Sound File is present in the Sound Box.
Now the sound is attached in the animation.
The Aeroplane take off effect is ready.
